Contributions are optional and never influence the score, verdict, or writing. Priority ($15) and Full meal ($37.50) are fixed prices for queue placement and a meal budget toward the visit. Any amount left after the meal may stay with the reviewer as fair compensation for time and writing — refunds on fixed tiers are uncommon and apply mainly if a review cannot happen (see Terms).
Custom lets you choose $5–$200. Higher amounts increase queue priority. After the visit, anything clearly above a reasonable meal cost at that restaurant is refunded; the rest covers the meal and fair compensation. Custom overpayment is the main case where refunds apply.
